Linda Spielman

I make jewelry by hand, letting each choice at the bench lead to the next. I work primarily in sterling silver, sometimes adding stones, touches of 14k gold-fill, and occasionally copper or brass. I’m drawn to round forms, quiet asymmetry, soft finishes, and texture.

I came to metalsmithing after a long career in business. What began as a few classes became a lasting pursuit. Years later, I’m still pulled in by the process — sawing, forming, sanding, soldering, setting, and finishing. Each piece takes shape through small decisions, some planned, some intuitive.

Nothing fussy. Just intentional design, subtle detail, and jewelry made slowly in my Chicago studio.
